Summer ‘book-it’ list! | 27/07/17

One of my mid year goals was to write every day but I’ve already missed a day so I’m not doing too well! That being said, I’m still going to try so here’s today!

With the end of my level three course drawing ever closer (less than two weeks to go!) I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to spend my time. Of course I plan to dedicate a little bit more time to this blog but I want to get back into my favourite past time; Reading! I love to read and have mountains of books to prove it. I have so many books that I wasn’t allowed to move them all to Essex with me and I had to leave a few hundred at my mums house. It currently works as a library – I take back the books I’ve finished and replace them with new ones and if I’m craving a specific books I ring my mum and she posts it out! It’s quite a good system but I do really miss being surrounded by all of my books (even though I still have loads here!)

I can’t wait to get back into my books so I thought that I would make a list of my top 10 ‘to read’ books. I’m quite a quick reader when I get into it so I’m really hoping to get these ticked off before the end of ‘summer’ even though I’m pretty sure summer is over if today’s weather is anything to go by! That being said I’m happy to extend this list over the autumn season, as long as my list is empty ready for some brilliant festive Christmas books!

  1. The Night Circus – Erin Morgenstern
  2. The Last Anniversary – Liane Moriarty
  3. The Other Half Lives – Sophie Hannah
  4. Summer Secrets – Jane Green
  5. How Not to Fall in Love – Catherine Bennetto
  6. The Potters House – Rosie Thomas
  7. The Picture of Dorian Gray – Oscar Wilde
  8. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry – Rachel Joyce
  9. Heidi
  10. The Goldfinch – Donna Tartt

Have you read any of the books from my list? Let me know what you thought!

Love, Alice x
