Hi, how are you?
It’s been quite a while since I uploaded. It actually surprised me just how long it has been as I have written a number of posts whilst I’ve been away but I’ve just not gotten around to posting.
As much as I don’t want to do another post where I say I’m back and I’m going to be posting every week, it just doesn’t feel like I can jump straight back in without giving you some kind of update after this long!
As my last post was in October 2019, let’s start there.
In October my brothers and I started training for a mammoth wheelchair push from Cambridgeshire to Amsterdam to recreate a journey our grandad did with his friends to raise a lot of money for Charity. We have been overwhelmed with the support and donations but unfortunately, as with everything, the event got cancelled due to Covid-19. We are working on plans to reschedule and my brothers and sister are doing a 24 hour push in September to keep the training going.
November was fairly uneventful, just lots of cosy winter evenings and muddy parks with Winnie.
December is always my favourite month of the year, in 2019 I took a trip to Prague with one of my best friends and explored the amazing Christmas markets. Once I got back, Tom and I decorated the flat and spent lots of cosy evenings watching Christmas movies.
In January we found a house we loved and put an offer in (and it got accepted, eventually!) We took a day trip to Norwich to celebrate.
In February, we found out we were PREGNANT! It was (and still is!) the best news and we are so happy. We celebrated Tom’s birthday in London and went to Swingers golf club which was so much fun.
Things got weird in March, we celebrated my birthday with an amazing afternoon tea in Cambridge and finally sold our flat and then Covid-19 fully hit and we ended up in lockdown.
April was a very strange month in lockdown but our baby was growing well and I got to see her for the first time at my 12 week scan. Winnie started noticing something was up and was nice and cuddly.
In May 2020 we bought our house and moved in – I absolutely love it and can’t wait for our baby to grow up here! Winnie is in love because now she has a garden all to herself.
In June we enjoyed making the house a home and having plenty of duvet days and winnie was so cuddly. We found out we are having a baby girl and we got to see her again!
Now it’s July, we’ve decorated the nursery, the house is pretty much where we want it to be and we are just so excited for our baby to keep growing and waiting for the day we can meet her.
Hopefully now you’re all up to date so my upcoming posts won’t come as too much of a surprise!
What’s the biggest change you’ve had in the last 10 months?
Love Alice and bump x
