Empty Products | August 2020

I can’t believe it’s already September – and almost a third of the way through September! I’m loving it though because that means it’s almost October which is officially my favourite month of the year and then I’ll be having a baby which is just mad.

Anyway, another month means more empty products so here’s what I used up in August and what I thought of them.

Alberto Balsam Shampoo – £0.95/350ml
I don’t normally use bottles of shampoo because I generally get the shampoo bars from Lush but I find this kind of shampoo is much easier for travelling so I usually do have a bottle of this for incase I need it. It’s super cheap and smells lovely so it does the job for me and I’m sure I’ll buy this again.

Dove Nourishing Care Body Wash – £2.25/225ml
I really liked this, it smells really good, is very moisturising and is plant based, not tested on animals and the bottle is made using recyclable materials so good stuff all round. I’d definitely buy this again.

Sanex Zero% Shower Gel – £1.80/250ml
Another good shower gel which is vegan, everything free and recyclable. It doesn’t have any fragrance, sulphates or colourants which is good and it’s really gentle on your skin. Again, I wouldn’t have an issue with buying this in the future because it’s really good.

Mama Mio Tummy rub scrub/tummy rub butter
These are just a couple of samples that I got in bounty packs and Emma’s diary packs and I did like them but I also don’t think I could justify the cost of the full size products. The full size tummy rub scrub is £18 for 180ml and the butter is £24 for 120ml. If I was to buy either I would go for the butter as, I’m not sure if I was doing it wrong but the scrub didn’t feel like it was doing much but the butter was very nice and moisturising.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Skin Perfecting Full Coverage Foundation £8.34/30ml
I love this and have repurchased it so many times. It’s a good colour match for my skin and is lightweight enough that you don’t feel like you’ve got a load of make up on but it’s still got a decent coverage. I’ve already bought another bottle of this because it’s honestly just one of my favourite foundations that I’ve used.

Secret salt society Ylang Ylang & Wild Patchouli mineral bath infusion – £3.75
I really like this, I think I got it in a subscription box a while ago but have only just got around to using it and it was lovely. It smelled really nice and is all natural. I think I would definitely purchase it again and I think it would also make a really nice stocking filler or little gift (yes, I am already thinking about Christmas!)

That’s everything I used up this month, have you tried any of these products? Is there anything you’d recommend that I try?

Love Alice and bump x
